Bike & Barrel, Chennai (Rs. 750 per person)

Bike & Barrel is one of Chennai’s most popular and creatively decorated English-style watering holes.
VIBE: The 1946 Norton Classic bike suspended from the ceiling and the beer barrel stands make this a grungy yet warm place. This split level pub with a pool table has separate floors for stags and couples. If you land up on a crowded evening, be ready to go on a treasure hunt to spot your waiter!
MUSIC: The DJ offers old club hits, retro, rock music and popular Bollywood numbers. You might get lucky if the DJ grants you a special request.
BITES ‘N’ BOOZE: Bike & Barrel may not be your cheapest option, but has a notable array of wines and beers. The calorie-conscious will enjoy complimentary bar snacks (mainly salads). Try the chicken wings and tandoori chicken. Veggies can look out for masala peanuts. The Long lsand Ice Tea and the beer flavoured starters are also favourites.
FAB OR DRAB: Had a gruelling day? Roll up your sleeves and unwind here. A decent hangout to destress yourself in the comfy chesterfield sofas.
BEST NIGHT: Ladies’ night on Thursdays and Happy Hours on weekdays.
