Curtain Call on Kaleidoscope 2017

Sophia College’s Kaleidoscope Festival took place on the 16th and 17th of September, as the curtains close on the festival this year, let us take a look at all the festivities that took place this year.

Kaleidoscope has been in the running for the last 32 years and every year they come back bigger and grander, this year and this year was no different.

The theme for this year was ‘It’s Showtime’ and it turned out to be as filmy as one can imagine. Sophia’s picturesque campus was decorated with beautiful hand-painted canvas’, a humongous poster and a stunning chandelier which gave everyone Om Shanti Om vibes.

The events too had a filmy touch to it. Events such as Mixed Tape and Nach-Bolly-ye had the audience crooning along to some catchy tunes, Other flagship events such as Electrocuted, Mr. and Ms. K, J.A.M and Open Mic Night had participants displaying their talents in all glory.

Staying true to being all kinds of filmy they also had several movie promotions such as India’s Official Oscar Selection-Newton, the anticipated Aksar 2 and a one of a kind medical drama film Umeed.

Overall the festival was a huge success with the vibrant atmosphere all around, several food stalls with mouth-watering food and the more importantly, a vibrant crowd which was full of happy people – because at the end, that’s what Kaleidoscope is really about.
