DIY… Sparkly Silver Shoes

Fashion bloggerGia Kashyap from giasaysthat.com shows you how to make Cinderella-like footwear with this easy yet glamorous DIY project

THINGS YOU WILL NEED
• Old/cheap shoes (you can choose any, from flats to stilettos)
• Fine glitter (any colour but make sure it’s ‘fine’ glitter)
• Glue • An old paint brush • Old newspapers, a cloth and a plastic bowl to mix the glitter into
• Tape
• Hairspray to set the glitter.

HOW TO GO ABOUT IT

Step 1: Stuff some old newspaper inside your shoes and tape the heels (if you’re not planning to paint the heels).

Step 2: Transfer the glitter into a plastic bowl. Remeber that glitter is very tricky to handle, so be careful.

Step 3: Apply the glue using the brush to a small area on the shoes. Then, use the same brush to apply the glitter on to the area covered with glue. Pat it carefully, do not spread it. It’s better to gradually increase the area you are working on to ensure the glitter sticks.

Step 4: After you’re done with the entire shoe, let it dry under the fan for one hour. Then do the finishing touches and paint the parts that are left. Use a hairspray on the shoes to help it settle. Let the shoes dry for about 5-6 hours under the fan.

Step 5: Now you’re ready to go! Wear you new glitter shoes and flaunt it this part season!
