Manu Bhaker, Elavenil Valarivan, & Divyansh Panwar Clinch Gold At The ISSF World Cup Final

This year saw the victory of many Indian sportspersons. Out of them, shooters have attracted special attention of the nation. Very recently, young shooters made India proud at the ISSF World Cup Final (International Shooting Sport Federation) that was conducted in Putian, China. 

Manu Bhaker, Elavenil Valarivan and Divyansh Panwar clinched gold medals in the respective events at the ISSF World Cup Final. Manu Bhaker acquired gold by showcasing a stellar performance at the women’s 10m air pistol event. Elavenil Valarivan, a 20-year-old shooter, put up a top-notch performance at the women’s 10m air rifle competition. Divyansh Panwar, another young stunning shooter won gold for shooting right at the top of other competitors in the men’s 10 m air rifle competition scoring a final score of 250.1. 

This stellar performance by these three absolutely talented shooters has placed India at the top of China who currently holds two golds, one silver, one bronze. 

Manu Bhaker’s score came to 244.7 leaving behind Serbia’s Zorana Arunovic who won a silver scoring 241.9, and Quian Wang of China who scored 221.8. winning a bronze medal.  Elavenil Valarivan built a score of 250.8 overcoming Taiwan’s Lin Ying-Shin who scored 250.7. Romania’s Laura-Georgeta Coman came third with a score of 229.

Similarly, Divyansh shot up to the top leaving behind Hungary’s Istvan Peni who held the score of 250 and Slovakia’s Patrik Jany who scored 228.4.
