JEE Main 2022: Students Lash Out At NTA Over The Release Of Incorrect Answer Key

Twitter saw angry JEE students expressing their disappointment over the National Testing Agency after finding many discrepancies in the answer key of the Chemistry section of shift 1 paper held on June 29.

The apex testing body conducted the JEE Main 2022 session 1 exam from June 23 to 29, 2022.

On July 2, the NTA released the JEE Main answer key 2022 for the session 1 examination. Students found out that Chemistry answers were incorrect and demanded rechecking.

Many students also raised concern stating that the answer key of Chemistry for JEE Main which was held on June 29 in the first shift has been swapped with the second shift of the exam conducted on the same day.

Students also posted images of errors they found in the answer key. In what is considered to be a serious accusation, some students also tweeted saying that the NTA does this on purpose.

The NTA has notified that those candidates who have not found the released Answer Key satisfactory, can challenge the same by making a fee payment of Rs 200 per question. This fee is non-refundable. The last date to raise an objection is 4 July by 5 pm. The expert panel will then look into the matter. If it finds any errors, they will rectify the same and re-release the 2022 Final Answer Key.

The agency also released the JEE Main 2022 Provisional Answer Key. Those preparing for the examination can download the provisional answer key and question papers through the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in.

To raise challenges regarding the answer key, students need to visit jeemain.nta.nic.in.
