Kyle popularly known as Bugha online was one of the 40 million participants in this event. Out of these 40 million participants, only 100 solo players and 50 duos made it through the last round and stood a chance to win the prize of 30 million.

Fortnite is an esport world cup competition based on the world-famous video game named Fortnite. This game has around 250 million registered players. The game includes 100 players who are parachuted on the virtual island to battle. In this, the battle goes on until only one player remains.

Winning the prize of $3 million is the largest ever payout to be awarded to a solo player in an esport tournament. Kyle won the first round of the event and nine in-game kills until he scored 59 points, a huge lead over Harrison “Psalm” Chang, the player who stood second in the event.  He too received a prize of $1.8 million.

When asked about what he would do with the money won, Kyle said that he wants to save the prize money. All he right now wants is to have a new desk for himself and also a desk for his championship trophy.

Soon after the tournament was wrapped, Bugha tweeted.

Similarly, when Harrison Chang was asked the same, he said he would use all the money to either gamble or invest it.

According to the sources, Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite has awarded a total prize of $40 million dollars to the winners throughout the tournament.
