National Students’ Space Challenge 2023, IIT Kharagpur

As the world progresses towards a new age of space exploration and technology, IIT Kharagpur continues to contribute to the advancement of space technology. Organized by the members of the Space Technology Students’ Society (spAts), IIT Kharagpur presents the National Students’ Space Challenge 2023 (NSSC’23). Being India’s first and largest Space-Technology fest, NSSC has always provided a platform for the young minds of India to present their talents, innovative ideas, and scientific nature in front of the world.  With its unique blend of events and competitions, NSSC sparks a spirit of enthusiasm in the space sciences among the students.

The organizing society, spAts, is the official student body of Kalpana Chawla Space Technology Cell (KCSTC), the contact point of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) at IIT Kharagpur. As India dives again into an era of success in the space industry, the team ensures another extravaganza this October. In line with the success of Chandrayaan-3 and the launch of Aditya-L1, pushing the boundaries of space exploration in India, the theme of the fest is “Fora Galaxia” or distant galaxies – which instils curiosity to explore the space beyond.

During the fest, participants from all across the country compete in a unique set of competitions based on robotics, technology, and space sciences. Participants are also exposed to a great community of experts who conduct Guest Lectures, Workshops, and Webinars. The exhibitions during the fest provide the participants with a sight to behold. Apart from the fest, there are some pre-fest online competitions that provide every student across the world with the opportunity to participate and compete with similar minds.
