NIT-Trichy’s Annual Techno-managerial Festival Pragyan-25 ends on high note

Pragyan, the ISO 9001 and 20121 certified annual International Techno-Managerial fest of NIT Tiruchirappalli was held from 20-23 February 2024. The 21st edition, themed ‘Panoptica: Break the Code’, featured a plethora of events, workshops, panel discussions, and guest lectures, making it a grand success. 

The fest kicked off with the inauguration of Pragyan on Day 0 by the chief guest of Pragyan ‘25, Dr. Anbuthambi, followed by a gravity-defying spectacle by the Ultimate Striderz. 

Day 1 of Pragyan began with the ESI (Exhibition, Sangam, and Ingenium) inauguration, setting a sophisticated tone. 

The day was packed with guest lectures by Dr. Velumani and Mr. Anil Swarup, offering students valuable wisdom. Events like Circuitrix, Catapult Clash, and Mystica kept the campus alive with excitement, while workshops by Samsung R&D, Upstox, and HCL Technologies offered upskilling opportunities. The day ended with a mesmerizing Sand and Light Art performance by Vivek Patil and an electrifying Tron Dance, leaving the audience spellbound. 

Day 2 continued the momentum with events like the fierce Old Town Road race and the intense Submerge swimming competition. Mind-bending events such as ‘Clique and Clues’, ‘Roundem up’, ‘Mystica’, and ‘Echoes of Eternity’ challenged participants to think outside the box. Workshops by MongoDB, Autodesk, and Siemens added to the day’s educational spirit. The evening featured a guest talk by Dr. Vijendar Singh Chauhan, the renowned UPSC interviewer, followed by a captivating Hand-Shadow Art show by Rekha Vyas and a magical performance by Poshak Dua. The day concluded with a ventriloquism act by Satyajit Padhye, leaving a lasting impression. 

Day 3, the zenith of Pragyan ‘25 featured workshops by Analog Devices, Texas Instruments, and Yoi Robotics. Events like Water Rocketry, Robowars, and Friendly Feud saw fierce competion for massive cash prizes. A guest lecture by VFX maestro Mr. Srinivas Mohan gave an in-depth understanding of the film industry, while the signature debate event, Crossfire, sparked intellectual discussions on pressing social and economic issues. The fest concluded with a ceremonious Valediction, setting the stage for two electrifying proshows. Mysore Express delivered a high-energy

performance, while Antara Mitra enthralled the audience with her soulful melodies, bringing Pragyan ‘25 to an epic close. 

Pragyan ‘25 truly lived up to its legacy, offering a perfect blend of learning, competition, and entertainment, making it an unforgettable experience for all.
