Polly Esthers, Mumbai – Rs. 1500 per person

Polly Esthers , one of Mumbai’s oldest nightclubs has re-opened. This popular nightclub located in south Bombay is retro in its feel and is suitably decorated.
CUISINE: There is quite a lot of variety when it comes to food, however, Chinese is the popular pick along with finger food.
FOOD AND DRINKS: As can be expected of a nightclub, Polly Esthers offers a wide range of choices across all of its drinks. Drinks are on the expensive side. If hungry, one can head down to the hotel’s noodle bar. The flaming shots (mostly tequila) are popular picks of the young crowd.
OVERALL IMPRESSION: Spacious and well decorated interiors (lava lamps, mirrored walls) make it a nice alternative to the other smaller nightclubs in the city. Even after renovation, the nightclub retains the 70s feel, and has added hip hop, R&B and commercial house to its music repertoire. What is unfortunate, though, is the prices. The club charges Rs. 1500 per couple and pairs of women. The Gordon House Hotel, 5, Battery Street, Apollo Bandar, Mumbai
