Students of the foundation to perform at Mumbai’s Kala Ghoda Arts Festival

Salaam Bombay Foundation continues with their endeavour to empower children while participating in the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival for the third consecutive year. With the intention of boosting the confidence of the children and improving their motivation, the organisation aims to provide the children with a unique experience of performing on the stage of the arts festival.

The event titled ‘Dance and Song by the Salaam Bombay Academies of Dance and Music’ will be held  between 5:30 pm and 6 pm on 6 February at Cross Maidan, Mumbai.

Trained by renowned Kathak performer Anjalie Gupta, the students from the Salaam Bombay Kathak Academy will demonstrate their dancing skills and creativity with a performance of the traditional Rajasthani folk dance Ghumar set to the tunes of the famous Bollywood song ‘Senorita’. The students of the Salaam Bombay Music Academy will soothe the ears of the audience with a presentation of the ‘Gurbani’ form of singing.
