The battle continues, Samsung’s new S7/S7 Edge is not only strong on paper but eye catching and glamorous as well. Lets see how it stands up against the Apple Iphone 6s
The design of the phone is much like its predecessor S6, but is slightly curved backwards from both edges which adds a premium feel.
The IPhone 6s is much like its predecessor with minor design changes which are barely noticeable. The design of Iphone is premium like it has always been.
Design is completely a matter of preference , I assure you both designs would give a premium feel to the user.
The Apple device is slightly lighter than Samsung.(around 9 g)
The Samsung S7 has a 5.1 inch display whereas the edge variant has a 5.5 inch display with a mind blowing 576 PPI resolution which would give an dynamic experience in gaming and watching movies.
The 6S has a perfectly sized 4.7 inch display with a resolution of 326ppi which works well for daily use.
Samsung sure does takes lead for the dynamic and vibrant display it offers.
Samsung reduced its pixels size from 16 to 12 megapixels, but guarantees better camera performance especially in low light areas. The camera can now focus on the object faster than ever which will be useful for capturing fast moving objects with more detail and sharpness.
The Iphone camera is no less. The 12 megapixel shooter is amazing and provides high quality and dynamic images.
Both cameras offer recording of 4k videos.S7 takes a lead by offering Optical Image Stabilization , netter low light performance and better Aperture (f1.7 as compared to f2.2 in Iphone).
S7 camera would be technically better but both of them offer excellent images for casual and daily use.
Both offer 5 megapixel front camera with Fill Flash feature.
The biggest jump S7 made was bringing back the Micro SD card. It supports 200 GB expandable storage and the basic model comes with 32 GB internal memory , Iphone 6s comes with fixed memory of either 16GB,64GB or 128 GB.
6s comes with the Apple A9 chip and S7 with Exynos 8.
6s comes with 2 GB of RAM and S7 with 4 GB of RAM.
Both have suitable chips and processors and won’t lag even after heavy usage.
S7 comes with Android Marshmallow with a very polished version of touchwiz that has been much appreciated.
6S comes with IOS9 which is simple and elegant.
This is completely a personal choice,if you are looking for simplicity and elegance go for apple, If you are looking for features and customization go for Samsung.
Samsung offers 3000Mah battery in s7 and 3500Mah battery in S7 edge but the performance is uncertain as of now. There is a cooling system envisaged in the device that prevents heating of the device. The always on display is a nice addition as well. This phone is certified with a rating of IP68 which states that it is waterproof upto 1metre for 30 minutes and dust resistance as well.
The Iphone has a battery of 1715 Mah which can get you through one day with moderate usage. The most unique feature of this phone is the 3D touch. The personal assistant SIRI is very useful as well which Samsung lacks.
Both devices are great and have their own positives and negatives. You can choose your device by comparing your requirements to what the device offers.
