Street Crusade – An initiative by students of Team Talaash from Jai Hind College

Students of Team Talaash in association with ‘Parmar Transport Company’ created a buzz for their much awaited social event, the ‘Street Crusade’ at various locations at Worli sea face, Haji Ali, Nana Chowk, Eros theatre, Fort, Nariman Point, Marine Drive and Chowpatty. The event witnessed an entertaining street play followed by interactions at traffic halts with the passing commuters. Team Talaash raised awareness for safety on roads by the show of placards and banners displaying safety messages. Also, car fresheners were distributed at every signal to the passing commuters. The event was marked by the presence of Mr. Rehan Poncha, an eminent Olympian swimmer and a proud recipient of the Arjuna award. Also gracing the occasion was the gorgeous young Bollywood actress, Ms.Anisa Butt, who debuted with the popular Disney show ‘Ishaan’ and also remembered for her roles in movies like ‘Zindagi na Milegi Dobara’, ‘Baat Bann Gayi’ and ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’. The proud sponsor, Mr. Jagjit Singh Parmar was felicitated by Team Talaash for his extensive support and diligence for this cause. Also, traffic policemen were presented with mementos for their cooperation without which this event would not have materialised. Thus, Team Talaash was successful in their efforts towards spreading awareness and educating the common man about the vitality of road safety.
