Find out more about Anurita Jha, the talented actress who’s making waves after her performance in Gangs of Wassepur

Born in Bihar and raised in Delhi, Anurita decided to follow her dreams and move to the city of Mumbai. Anurita’s presence was felt in the modelling hunt after she won Channel V’s model hunt ‘Get Gorgeous 6’ and dazzled on the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week and Will’s India Fashion Week. After bagging a role in Anurag Kashyap’s critical and commercial success Gangs of Wasseypur, Anurita proved she’s more than just a pretty face. She was able to meet the demands of the roles, especially the accent she was required to speak in as Anurita was born in Bihar. Anurita’s character plays a pivotal role in Gangs of Wasseypur Part 2, where her character shines in the ensemble. From modelling to theatre and films, Anurita is living the fantasy of many aspiring stars. Her talent and determination have fuelled her success and enabled her to make the difficult transition from modelling to acting with ease.
